Today’s Topic: Don’t Let the Poison In
Scripture: Those who hate you will be clothed with shame. – Job 8:22, NKJV

Today’s Word
It’s easy to get upset and try to set the record straight when someone is talking behind your back, trying to make you look bad, spreading rumors on social media. Some may be saying hurtful, critical things to try to make you feel small, unattractive, not good enough. Don’t let the negative chatter get inside you. There will always be people who are jealous, envious, bullies, haters. Not everyone is going to like you or be for you.

Some will jump on every fault and treat you badly. Don’t let that poison in. Let it go. If you keep thinking about it, reliving the hurt, dwelling on what they said, it’s going to contaminate your life. You don’t have to defend yourself. God is your vindicator. Keep Him on the throne of your heart and He will take care of those who try to bring your down. Just run your race and stay focused on your goals. Keep doing the right thing, keep honoring God, stay in peace, and He will protect your reputation and take care of your enemies.

Prayer For Today
“Father, thank You that I can shut the door on the negative that comes against me and keep what You have promised and said about me close to my heart. Thank You that You are my vindicator and none of these things need move me. I believe that I will rise above the negatives. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

TODAY’S INSPIRATIONAL MESSAGE: The abundant life isn’t just for the sweet bye-and-bye. It’s for the here-and-now. Because of Jesus, peace, love, joy, and hope are ours … anytime!

I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. –Psalm 27:13, NIV

The Scripture says, “You’ve been made in the image of God.” He made you talented, beautiful, smart, confident. You are fully equipped for the purpose He’s laid out for you. But the trick of the enemy is to distort your self-image. He doesn’t want you to see yourself the way you really are. The Psalmist said, “You’ve been fearfully and wonderfully made.” But when you look at that mirror, you’ll see all your flaws, everything you don’t like will be exaggerated. You’ve been forgiven, redeemed.

The past is over, but when you look in that mirror, you’ll see all your mistakes, failures, times you didn’t measure up. Looking back at you is a guilty, unworthy, undeserving person. It’s a distorted mirror. You’ve been through disappointments, setbacks. Life hasn’t treated you fair. That distorted mirror will come up. You’ll see yourself defeated, at a disadvantage, nothing good in your future. The truth is God has beauty for those ashes. What was meant for your harm, He’s turning to your advantage.
